The museum was opened at a grand ceremony on June 27, 2001, with the participation of leading cultural figures, scientists, a cosmonaut, diplomats and numerous guests, as part of the program of celebrations of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n The museum was created on the initiative of Prof. V.
